Hiking in the Rwenzori Mountains
Pleasant walks in the foothills of the Rwenzories. It's a good days walk over the Kazingo trail to Bundibugyo.
Seven days hike up to the snow capped peaks at 5109m.
Chimp Tracking
Kibale National Park is best known for its 13 different types of primates and chimpanzee tracking.

Amabere Caves & Waterfall
Situated 8 kilometers West of Fort Portal town in a lovely hilly area dotted with crater lakes. An adventurous descent into the half open caves, with a lot of history tales attached to it.
Semliki Rainforest and Hot Springs
Semliki National Park, best known for its birdlist: 441 recorded species, and for the hot springs at Sempaya.
Crater Lakes
About 20-30 km south of Fort Portal are the Ndali-Kasenda Crater Lakes (about 60 fresh water lakes). You can make a scenic route by car or you can explore them on foot.
Tea and Wetlands
Explore the wetlands on foot and learn about the tea making proces through a visit of a tea factory and their plantations.
Tooro Botanical Gardens
Three different trails run along the various community gardens (medicinal plants,trees) and points of interest (birds, treehouses and plant nurseries).
Visit local markets
Daily market in Fort Portal Town.
Weekly markets in different places with the most important being the Wednesday market in Mugusu (12 km on Fort Portal - Kasese Road). Colourful and scenic under the peaks of the Rwenzori Mountains.

Walks in the surroundings
You can explore the lush green neighbourhood of the guest house by foot. Walk up the hill to visit the local village or walk to town to experience the hustle and bustle of Fort Portal.
